PEWTER MOULDS

Our range of SILCODISC-PE moulds, characterised by their high resistance, both mechanically and to tearing, guarantee a very long life for the moulds. They are specially designed and formulated for the spin casting of low-melting-point metal alloys: Pewter and Lead. They are also suitable for the centrifugation of RESINS.

As we have our own laboratories, we can manufacture moulds to measure on demand to satisfy any need for parts manufacturing.

Technical characteristics of our SILCODISC-PE moulds

  • Extraordinary resistance to tearing.
  • Low viscosity before vulcanization (raw) that facilitates handling when preparing the mould and hammering parts, minimizing the “rebound” effect.
  • Great flexibility, which allows the demoulding of complex pieces.
  • High resistance to metal abrasion.

WHAT KIND OF MOULD TO USE:

The choice of the type of mould to be used depends on several factors: shape (geometry) of the part, weight/volume ratio, type of metal, flexibility required for demoulding the part, etc.

EXPIRY DATES

Our SILCODISC moulds for Spin Casting do not have an expiry date. It is advisable to use them within 2 years, although this time can be extended with optimal storage conditions, the box properly closed and good conditions of humidity and temperature.
